  • Bookkeeper: Bookkeepers earn a median salary of $45,860 and generally require six months or so of study to obtain their certifications.

  • Paramedics and EMTs: Now, some paramedics and EMTs are extremely well trained, but others in the field can earn certifications in about five months or less. They make a median salary of $36,390.

  • Medical Assistant: In just about two months, you could earn your certification in this field. Medical assistants earn a median salary of $37,190.

  • Electricians: With plenty of on the job learning and apprenticeship, earning your certification as an electrician can take about 9 months. And electricians make a median salary of $60,040 a year.

  • Physical Therapist Assistant: In less than half a year of study, generally about 4 months or so, you could take this career path and earn a median salary of $61,180 a year.

  • Dental Assistant: Another job in healthcare, you could earn a median salary of $44,820 after completing your certification, which normally takes about three months or so.

  • Travel Agent: With roughly six months of education, you could earn your certification as a travel agent and make a median salary of $$43,810 a year.

  • Pharmacy Tech: The average time to earn your certification as a pharmacy tech is about four months. Once earned, that certification could lead to a career that pays a median of $36,740 a year.

  • Phlebotomy Tech: In as little as two months, you could become a certified phlebotomy tech earning a median salary of $37,380.
